Valentin Vacherot won the Swiss Indoors in Basel on Sunday, recovering from a set down to beat Jiri Lehecka 2–6, 6–3, 6–3 and claim the second ATP Tour title of his career. Earlier, Carlos Alcaraz completed a week without dropping a set to win the Vienna Open.

The unseeded Vacherot secured his first trophy of 2026, adding to the Shanghai Masters title he won as a qualifier last year. The player from Monaco had to turn the final around after eighth seed Lehecka controlled the opening set.

Vacherot improved in the second and third sets and converted his first championship point when Lehecka’s two-handed backhand landed out. The comeback ended the Czech player’s bid for his first title of the season.

It completed a demanding route through the Basel draw. Vacherot had beaten Rafael Jodar in the second round and Holger Rune in the quarter-finals before defeating sixth seed Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals. His victory over Rune also required three sets.

In Vienna, second seed Alcaraz beat Alex de Minaur 6–1, 6–4 to lift the Erste Bank Open trophy for the first time. It was the Spaniard’s fourth title of the year and the 28th of his career.

Alcaraz broke in the opening game and kept the Australian under pressure throughout the first set. De Minaur offered greater resistance in the second, but a final break with the fifth seed serving at 4–5 settled the match.

The result extended Alcaraz’s unbeaten record against de Minaur to seven meetings. He won all five of his matches in Vienna in straight sets and finished the season’s ATP 500 tournaments with a 16–0 record.

De Minaur had reached the final by beating top seed Alexander Zverev in Saturday’s semi-final, while Alcaraz defeated Daniil Medvedev. Both finalists now turn towards the Paris Masters as the season approaches the ATP Finals in Turin.
