Ka’imi Fairbairn kicked a 49-yard field goal as time expired to give the Houston Texans a 34–31 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, 18 October. Houston improved to 2–4, while Jacksonville slipped to 4–2.

The decisive kick completed a seven-play, 36-yard drive. Fairbairn finished with two successful field goals from two attempts and converted all four extra points. His other field goal, from 25 yards, came in the second quarter.

C.J. Stroud completed 24 of 34 passes for 312 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Trevor Lawrence answered with 306 passing yards and four touchdowns for Jacksonville, but the Jaguars could not turn their late recovery into a second win in London this season.

Late swings at Wembley

Houston had already produced a quick response before halftime. After falling 14–10 behind, Stroud found Foster Moreau for a one-yard touchdown with eight seconds remaining in the half. The Texans led 17–14 at the break and later moved 31–21 ahead through Jawhar Jordan’s 25-yard touchdown run.

Jacksonville then fought back. Travis Hunter caught a seven-yard touchdown pass before intercepting Stroud in the end zone to halt a Houston drive. Cam Little followed with a 60-yard field goal to level the scores at 31–31 with about two minutes left.

Stroud’s final drive included a 19-yard completion to Woody Marks on third-and-two, helping put Fairbairn in position to settle the contest. The result extended Houston’s overall series lead against Jacksonville to 33–16 and left the Texans unbeaten in their two London meetings with the Jaguars.
